White-tailed Deer
MuzzleloaderGHA 30 November 08, 2019Hunting on one of the wildlife management areas, this deer came into my rattling in behind me. I moved to get a look and it swung round to get down wind and check me out. It stepped in between some brush and I made a good double lung shot, happy to harvest the meat and cook my venison.

Canvasback Duck
Harvested on September 15, 2019 in GBHZ 4 using a ShotgunPond shoot with the old man. First time taking the duck boats out. Small spread of 15 floaters and 2 mojos.
Greater Canada Goose
Harvested on September 16, 2018 in GBHZ 4 using a ShotgunTook my dad, my friend, and his old man for a morning bird hunt. Was their first time experiencing using layouts and decoys. Very foggy, and off and on drizzling. Made for nice low flying flocks of geese. Limited out on mallards and pintails by 8 am, but birds flew into the spread until late morning! Gave good opportunities to teach some calling basics and watch how the birds work. Geese started flying a bit later and came in perfect flying groups of 3-6 birds at a time! Great experience!

Mallard Duck
Harvested on September 12, 2018 in GBHZ 4 using a ShotgunDuck heavy field. Morning hunt, single man limit within 14 minutes past legal shooting time. Great morning to sit and call ducks to the spread and watch them work!
